3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
Proverbs 3:3-4 (NIV)

After two years at that church, and two more pastoring a church plant in Beaverton, David moved into a job in the private sector and began attending Horizon Community Church. In 2006, David became the Middle School Pastor, and two years later added High School Ministry to his responsibilities.
David enjoys sports including the San Francisco Giants and 49ers, the Ducks, Timbers, and Blazers, as well as movies, Disneyland, Star Wars, and comic books. But more than that, he is passionate about helping teenagers discover and develop their faith in Jesus Christ.
Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

Pastor Roger was raised in a strong Christian home, but discovered the reason he was unable to break free of the toxic habits and lifestyle that controlled him was because he had never surrendered his life to Jesus. In the fall of his senior year at Oregon State, he became a follower of Jesus, and met the woman who would become his best friend and wife.
In 1987 they moved to Hawaii where they served as college pastors in Honolulu at the University of Hawaii, and also worked in the private sector. In 1996 they moved back to Oregon to help run a family business and began attending Horizon Community Church.
In the fall of 2001 Roger left the corporate arena to join the pastoral team at Horizon Community Church. Currently he is a Senior Associate Pastor, serving as the Development Director for our church and schools and leading PURSUIT, our young adults/college age ministry.
“One of the privileges of being a pastor at Horizon Community is seeing individuals and families being transformed by Jesus. Few things are more thrilling to me than having a sense of what Jesus wants to do in and through your life and experiencing Him do it. GOD IS GOOD!!!”
Roger and Kimberly married in February 1986 and have 4 amazing children (Brooklynne, Hailey, Levi and Gabriella) and an incredible grand-daughter Leila.
